I took the pic for the poem, and framed it such that the poem could go in.
I was just wondering whether another tree was more suitable, when I looked up at that tree and saw a single bird fly up to it. Then I decided that that would be the tree for sure.
Although the photograph looks rather bleak and empty and far away from civilisation, in reality, less than 10 metres behind the tree is a carpark.
Kind of ironic, but it suits.
Taken in Hokkaido, Japan, a week ago.
